The Island of Ven

Tycho Brahe was born at Knutstorp Castle in Skåne county. He was an amazing astronomical scientist. In 1572 Tycho Brahe founded a new star, and he wanted to further research this star, so the Danish king Frederik II gave Tycho Brahe the Island of Ven, to do more research. On Ven, he built a castle for science and art that was so great it was talked about all throughout Europe. He called this Uraniborg after urania, the goddess of astronomy. He was inspired by the Italian and Dutch Renaissance. Many scientists from all over the world, visited his castle, to learn more about astronomy.A View of the Island of Ven!
The bikes we used, to ride all across the Island of Ven, to bad the weather was very bad, but I still had a great time! You can never go wrong with a great bike ride, and an awesome view!
Tycho Brahe's castle, which is now an awesome museum!
